Overview
This tour takes you to two of Armenia’s most popular and breathtaking destinations — only 10 km apart, yet separated by nearly 12 centuries of history.
We begin at Charents Arch, where you’ll enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the biblical Mount Ararat — the perfect spot for memorable photos and first impressions.
Next, we visit Garni, home to the nearly 2,000-year-old Temple of the Sun. It is the only surviving pagan temple in the former USSR and one of the finest examples of Greco-Roman architecture in the world. According to legend, it was a gift from Emperor Nero.
We then descend into the Garni Gorge to see the Symphony of Stones, a remarkable natural wonder formed by volcanic activity hundreds of thousands of years ago. Here, you’ll enjoy a walk through the gorge, see a 13th-century medieval bridge, taste traditional Armenian coffee brewed on hot sand, and take in unforgettable landscapes.
Our next stop is Geghard Monastery, a unique monastery carved directly into the rock. With its extraordinary atmosphere and remarkable acoustics, every echo here sounds like a prayer. The site is protected by UNESCO.
We conclude the journey with a warm and authentic lavash baking master class. You’ll watch the traditional process, taste freshly baked lavash straight from the tonir oven, and prepare a classic Armenian brduj with cheese and fresh herbs. Lavash is recognized by UNESCO as a living cultural tradition that has remained unchanged for thousands of years.
